Prototype House
Los Angeles, USA, 1996

The Prototype House is generated through data-flow diagrams applied to a Mandala, which is proposed to evolve into three-dimensions over time, forming a cube of 27 equal sized objects. To introduce a primary relationship between them, which later allows for differentiations, all of these 3D boxes are organized into four major groups, and each one receives movement through a controlling master-object. Working, sleeping, living and recreation, four areas, are assigned to the groups respectively. The diagram is activated by relating the objects to time and motion as a projected circulation pattern. Depending on the relationship within a group and between neighbouring groups, every object is affected differently.
