The Viaduct, LBHf
Sports-Wellness-Entertainment Center
Berlin, Germany, 2001-2007

The project forms a spine of 380 mt. length, in the middle of the existing Master Plan Development of the Hauptbahnhof in Berlin, laid out by O.M. Ungers. We developed an adequate use concept, and the design proposal, called The Viaduct, is supposed to be a “logical supplement” to the programmatic development of the new “Stadtquartier”. As a “City Room”, the Viaduct adds about 18.000 sq.mt. of leisure space, geared to create an urban node including sports, wellness and entertainment, but also thematic and climatic zones combined with media and shopping points.
